Make Safe Happen, a child safety advocacy group operated by Nationwide Insurance, wanted to teach new and expecting parents the safest way to put babies to sleep: Alone, on their backs in an empty crib. Alone, Back, Crib. This is super important, because babies can suffocate if they’re not put down correctly.
So we created the ABC Sleeper. These alphabet pajamas remind parents of the Alone, Back, Crib safety rule at the moment they need it most: When they shut off the lights at bedtime, the safety message reveals itself in the alphabet design and glows in the dark.
The onesies drove to MakeSafeHappen.com, where parents could watch this video and learn more about infant sleep safety.
Our entire team hand-folded, packaged and shipped thousands of glow-in-the-dark pajamas to Nationwide agents across America, and those agents distributed them to new parents in their districts. Here I am personally folding and packing onesies in my mom jeans. How appropriate.
